Description
Used during the 19th century, the 1842 musket rifle was first made in smoothbore and then later a with a rifled barrel to allow for use of the newly developed Minie Ball. It was the first US musket to be produced with a percussion lock and was superior to the flintlock since it was more reliable and resistant to weather. This rifle was used during the American Civil War.
This rifle is an authentic reproduction made with high quality, premium metal and wood finishes as well as hand-oiled wood stocks. Approved by the North-South Skirmish Association (N-SSA). Perfect for shooters, hunters, enthusiasts, collectors, and those performing re-enactments.
